Cherry Blow Dry Bar coming to Philadelphia

October 10, 2017 //  Franchising.com  // CHERRY HILL, N.J. - Cherry Blow Dry Bar - an expanding franchise that provides premium express services including blowouts, hair extensions, makeup services and treatments - is heading to Philadelphia. A development agreement and lease has already been signed for the area’s first salon, which is slated to open in November at 713 Walnut Street. It will be the first of several that the New Jersey-based franchise hopes to open in the metro area over the next few years. “I am excited to introduce Cherry Blow Dry Bar to Philadelphia,” said Monique Costa, a Philadelphia native who will own and operate the first salon. “Women today are extremely busy. They are juggling careers, family, children and more. Cherry Blow Dry Bar provides a totally unique, one- stop-shop for affordable glam services. The hours of our operation will offer the opportunity to come in before work to add the finishing touches to a corporate look, after work for a night out in the city or any time in between. Plus, we will be open seven days a week for added convenience.” Knowledge of the beauty industry has always been a strong suit for Costa. Growing up, her mother was a hairstylist and ran a salon out of their home in the Philadelphia area. Always surrounded by hair experts and customers, Costa knows how important it is to provide high-quality services at an affordable price point. “I’ve been a customer of high-end salon services my entire life,” said Costa. “None of them compare to the convenient membership model Cherry Blow Dry Bar offers to local consumers. Cherry Blow Dry Bar represents the service I believe in and we are totally committed to giving our clients the very best experience each and every time they visit.” Cherry Blow Dry Bar offers blowouts for hair of any length starting at about $35. Customers can pick and choose from the salon’s styling menu which includes nine different hairstyles - from updos and beachy waves to braids and voluminous curls. Salons offer three types of memberships, starting at about $59 for two monthly blowouts. Although Cherry Blow Dry Bar primarily focuses on blowouts, other beauty services such as hair extensions, treatments, makeup application and even scalp massages are also offered. “Our main goal is to find franchisees who believe in our proven business model and mission to provide glam styling services at affordable prices,” said Cherry Blow Dry Bar CEO Fred Vicario. “Monique epitomizes this mentality, and we are thrilled to welcome her to the Cherry Blow Dry Bar team. We are incredibly pleased with the following we have garnered thus far, and are excited to see the same acclaim and recognition develop in Philadelphia." Today, there are 11 salons open and operating in seven states - California, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Alabama and Virginia - with nearly 25 more under various stages of development throughout the country. New Cherry Blow Dry Bar Coming to the Area (Glen Mills)

For those looking for a quick and convenient hair up-do, Cherry Blow Dry Bar is getting ready to open for business in Glen Mills. With the anticipated opening date in mid-November, the national franchise focuses on offering high end finishing salon hair treatments at an affordable price. Owners Tracey and Harold Tamburro are already well versed in running franchise businesses. The couple own 12 Lawn Doctor franchises throughout New Jersey. Tracey first became interested in opening a Cherry Blow Dry Bar after her first visit to one in New Jersey. “I went to the original one in Cherry Hill for a blow-out and I thought it was so great. The brand itself is affordable for customers. It was a no brainer for me,” Tamburro said. “I wanted to expand into the beauty industry. It’s an amazing industry and it’s always changing. I’ve always been passionate about beauty. I love trends with make-up and hair and am always the first one to do it,” Tamburro added. The salon features a wide array of different finishing services for hair including the signature wash and blow-out, hair extensions, keratin treatments, up-do’s, curling iron and flat iron styling and make-up services. “All the finishing services for your hair. Anything you need to do before you go out for a girls’ night, a bridal shower, a bachelorette party, a wedding. Even just to go out for a date with your husband. It’s the perfect spot to go and get glammed up,” said Tamburro. Tamburro noted that she will be an active owner-operator and noted that men are also welcome to the salon to partake in its many services. “We would never turn a man down. If they wanted to come in and get a conditioning treatment or a hair mask and a scalp massage just to relax, we would absolutely do that for a man,” she said. With one Cherry Blow Dry Bar already open in Paoli, the Tamburros chose the Glen Mills area for their salon, which will be the second one to open in Pennsylvania. They decided on the Glen Mills community because they enjoy what the area already has to offer. “We just love that area. We shop there, we go to the movies there. It’s our go-to place. I feel like the Cherry Blow Dry Bar fits right in with that community. It’s a growing area too. Glen Mills is well established, but still up and coming. Everything that is trending, is there,” said Tamburro. The Tamburros plan to open two more Cherry Blow Dry Bars in New Jersey within the next 12 months. The franchise first began in 2013 and is continuing to rapidly expand across the country. Currently there are 11 salons open in seven states, with 20 salons in various stages of development.
