Using Your Local Community To Boost Brand Awareness

If you want to be able to create awareness for your brand and franchise, you need to be able to connect with your local community! Using opportunities within this community can be a great way to boost awareness around town about your business. This is good for bringing in new recurring customers. You want to ensure that you are giving off a positive, caring vibe for the people that you work with and serve, so we have here listed a few ways you can use the local community to spread your name. 

Do Charitable Events

Everyone loves to support businesses in their community that gives back and provides for those less fortunate! You can do this in a variety of ways. Partner with your local homeless shelter to offer grooming and hygiene services to people less fortunate. Host a giveaway online for certain brands you want to promote. Offer your local senior center makeovers for the women who have to stay there. You could even offer discounted services for poor brides who would otherwise be unable to find a good stylist or makeup artist. Doing this every so often can boost morale, make people want to come in, and support your business so that you can continue to do it, as well as create a good reputation for anyone first learning about your business. After all, people like to talk about it when businesses do charitable things.

Do you know what is better than competing with other businesses in the neighborhood? Partnering up with each other for the benefit of everyone. When you partner with other businesses, especially if through doing so you are helping to promote and support a smaller local business, you show how much you care about your local community. Sometimes it isn’t all about the competition, after all. Some examples of services you can team up with include photographers and wedding planners, however, there are a variety of options you could choose from, it all just depends on what is available in your community.

When you recognize how special the holidays are to your community, you amplify the chances of them remembering your brand. The holiday spirit can be expressed through face painting and unique hairstyles, and gifts, and you can even try hosting events online for your community to partake in. Do Facebook parties where people can play fun games, and the winner can receive a holiday-themed prize!

One of the best ways to get your name out there in the community is by connecting with them online. Your online presence or lack thereof can have a huge impact on the amount of business you generate. Having an active Facebook page or Instagram account can help people stay up-to-date and engaged with your business so that they know what is going on, and when. When you have unique events they can share the news with their friends at the click of a button, because people want to spread the knowledge of unique and fun opportunities. 

Engage With The Local Youth

Today's youth are tomorrow's customers. Taking them seriously and recognizing the impact they have now and the impact they will have in the future is an essential part of the business. If you want someone to support and like your brand, then creating good impressions while they are young is just one way to start. Support the local girl's basketball team by offering fundraising opportunities. You can even offer job shadowing to high school girls interested in cosmetology.
