Premium blow dry bar salon continues regional expansion in the Lone Star State
Cherry Blow Dry Bar - a rapidly expanding franchise that provides premium express services including blowouts, hair extensions, makeup services and treatments - is continuing to grow its footprint throughout Texas with the development of three additional salons in the greater Houston area.
The New Jersey-based franchise has signed three separate development deals to bring the second wave of Cherry Blow Dry Bar salons to the Houston community. The first development deal, signed by local couple Tisha and James Adams, have committed to opening four salons over the next several years. Their first salon will be located at 2162 Spring Steubner Road, Spring, TX, and is estimated to open later this year. Their Spring salon will service several communities: Spring, Houston West, Vintage Park, River Oaks, Midtown and West University.
“We are excited to open our first Cherry Blow Dry Bar salon and to be the first one in Spring,” expressed Tisha Adams. “Cherry’s affordable prices and simple menu offering of high-quality services make it the go-to salon for women. There’s a need for a salon like this in the community, and with the opportunity to establish a convenient location for women and girls, we’ll be able to help them look their very best for any occasion from work, to dance competitions or a night on the town.”
The other two development deals are signed for single salons that will be owned by two other local couples. While no leases have been signed, Joe and Vanessa Greenwood are looking to establish their Cherry salon in one of the following communities: Sugar Land, Missouri City, Katy and several others. Shazia and Hamza Darugar are the proud owners of the soon-to-be Cherry Blow Dry Bar of Cypress. The new development deals come a little over a year after Britany Graham first brought Cherry Blow Dry Bar to Texas with her salon in Bryan-College Station - she is also committed to opening additional salons in the greater Houston area. The second wave of expansion is a part of the company’s plans to establish eight salons within the greater Houston community over the next several years.
“We couldn’t be more excited about the three couples we are working with,” said Fred Vicario, CEO of Cherry Blow Dry Bar. “They are dedicated to Cherry’s goals and their personal values align with the brand as well. I am confident that all will be successful, and each salon will play a pivotal role in our continued growth into the Houston community.”
Cherry Blow Dry Bar offers blowouts for hair of any length starting at about $35. Customers can pick and choose from the salon’s styling menu which includes nine different hairstyles - from updos and beachy waves to braids and voluminous curls. Salons offer three types of memberships, starting at about $59 for two monthly blowouts.
Although Cherry Blow Dry Bar primarily focuses on blowouts, other beauty services such as hair extensions, treatments, makeup application and even scalp massages are also offered.
“Growth in Houston is key to growing our footprint in the state of Texas,” added Vicario. “The new Houston locations will open the doors for more guests to experience every service Cherry offers.”
Today, there are 18 salons open and operating in seven states - Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Alabama, Louisiana, and Virginia - with nearly 80 more under various stages of development throughout the country.
