New Jersey franchise set to open Princeton salon

Cherry Blow Dry Bar, an expanding premium salon franchise that offers express services including blowouts, hair extensions, makeup services and treatments, is continuing to expand in its home state of New Jersey. The franchise is bringing its first salon to the Princeton community.

The new salon - located at 610 Nassau Park Blvd. - is slated to open spring of 2019. It will be owned and operated by husband and wife team Jay and Tejal Patel.

“There is a definite need for a business like this in our community. I struggled to find a blow dry bar concept that could meet my hair needs, which is what led me to open a Cherry Blow Dry Bar salon,” expressed Tejal. “I want to provide a salon that will be every woman’s one-stop-shop for blow dry bar services. Cherry has so many affordable, luxurious services, and I can’t wait for the rest of the community to enjoy the experience as much as I already do.”

Tejal and Jay both work in the medical field as an oral surgeon and family physician, respectively, while raising two kids. The Patels saw an opportunity to invest in a business that provides them with the support to become successful entrepreneurs; additionally Cherry combines business with Tejal’s passion for hair and makeup techniques and services.

Cherry Blow Dry Bar offers blowouts for hair of any length starting at about $35. Customers can pick and choose from the salon’s styling menu which includes nine different hairstyles - from updos and beachy waves to braids and voluminous curls. Salons offer three types of memberships, starting at about $59 for two monthly blowouts.

Although Cherry Blow Dry Bar primarily focuses on blowouts, other beauty services such as hair extensions, treatments, makeup application and even scalp massages are also offered.

“As we continue to expand our footprint, it’s critical to find the right franchise partners who are passionate about the brand,” said Fred Vicario, CEO of Cherry Blow Dry Bar. “This is why we couldn’t be more excited about welcoming Tejal and Jay to the team.

Today, there are 18 salons open and operating in seven states - Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Alabama, Louisiana and Virginia - with nearly 80 more under various stages of development throughout the country.
